Δευτέρα, 03 Αυγούστου 2026 20:10Statement from Prudential Chairman and CEO, Andy Sullivan, on the passing of Arthur Ryan, former Prudential Chairman, President, and CEO
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Arthur F. Ryan, Prudential’s former Chairman, President, and CEO. Art was a remarkable leader whose vision and courage helped shape Prudential into the company it is today. He guided Prudential through a period of significant change, including its transition to a publicly traded company in 2001. His leadership strengthened and helped position us to navigate some of the most challenging moments in history, including the 2008 financial crisis. Art’s leadership, conviction, and commitment to excellence left a lasting imprint on Prudential, and his contributions extended far beyond our company through his philanthropy and dedication to communities across New Jersey, especially here in Newark. Art achieved an almost legendary status among generations of employees at Prudential. The respect people had for him, and the stories they shared about him, spoke volumes about the kind of dynamic and authentic leader he was. On behalf of Prudential and myself, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
