Mark F. Muething Named President of Great American Insurance Group’s Annuity Operations

Great American Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Mark F. Muething has been named President of its Annuity Group. In addition to this new role, Mr. Muething will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Great American’s Annuity Group.

Mr. Muething joined American Annuity Group, a predecessor company to Great American’s Annuity Group, nearly 25 years ago as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 1999 and in 2012, assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Muething oversees the Annuity Distribution, Operations, Information Technology and Legal functions. Prior to joining Great American, Mr. Muething worked as an Associate and Partner at the Cincinnati law firm Keating, Muething & Klekamp.

Mr. Muething is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He received his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
