Aon Appoints Simon Hawkins to Executive Managing Director on Global Legacy Team

AON, a leading global professional services firm, announced the appointment of Simon Hawkins as executive managing director for Reinsurance within the global legacy team, joining later this year.

In this role, he will advise clients on complex legacy and run‑off transactions, supporting the delivery of innovative capital advisory solutions across global markets. He joins an experienced global legacy team and will work closely with regional hubs for capital advisory to support legacy activity across the global market. Hawkins is based in London and will report to Mike Cane, head of capital advisory for the UK. Hawkins’ appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment to meet growing client demand for legacy solutions globally.

Hawkins joins Aon from Compre, where he served as chief operating officer, after his time at QBE as head of legacy. He brings deep expertise in legacy and run-off transactions and will support clients worldwide as demand for legacy solutions continues to grow.
