Dame Clara Furse DBE appointed Senior Independent Director and Deputy Chair of the Council of Lloyd's
Σάββατο, 23 Μαΐου 2026 18:21Lloyd’s has announced the appointment of Dame Clara Furse as Senior Independent Director and member of the Council of Lloyd’s, effective from 1 September 2026.
Dame Clara Furse served as Group Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange from 2001 to 2009, leading significant modernisation and transformation. She has since held a number of senior non-executive roles, including serving as Chair of HSBC UK until April 2026 and is the current Chair of the Remuneration and Human Resources Committee at Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. She also brings macroprudential and regulatory experience from her period as an external member of the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee.
Dame Clara succeeds Fiona Luck, who has made a significant contribution as a Non Executive Director of Lloyd’s over the past nine years in her roles as Council member, Remuneration Committee Chair, Senior Independent Director and Deputy Chair. As part of the planned transition, Fiona will continue as Senior Independent Director until September and will remain a member of Lloyd’s Council and Deputy Chair until the conclusion of her term in February 2027.
