AON, a leading global professional services firm, named Gerardo Polanco as General Manager of Aon’s Iberia Reinsurance team, effective immediately.
In this role, Polanco will drive collaboration across geographies, business lines and specialties, to help optimize the firm’s service offerings and support better business decisions for clients. Previously, Polanco served as Aon’s head of Facultative Reinsurance for the Nordics, Benelux, France, Spain and Portugal. With more than 25 years of reinsurance industry experience, Polanco played a key role in driving innovation within Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business in Spain and across the sub-region. Based in Madrid, he will report to Tomas Novotny, EMEA CEO and chairman of International for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.
Novotny said: “Gerardo’s strategic vision, leadership and deep market expertise will be pivotal in advancing our strategy in Iberia and strengthening our capabilities, in alignment with Aon’s global objectives. In this new role, he will help to enhance value for our clients as he creates and manages important internal and external relationships that enable us to optimize our service delivery.”
