Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has announced that Allianz Capital Partners GmbH, which is part of AllianzGI, has acquired on behalf of the Allianz insurance companies and the Allianz European Infrastructure Fund II a minority stake in data centre platform Yondr Group (Yondr), a global developer, owner, and operator of hyperscale data centres*. AllianzGI has entered into a strategic partnership investing with DigitalBridge in Yondr, alongside La Caisse (formerly CDPQ).
Yondr operates across an international footprint with data centre campuses in key markets such as Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, and Canada. With over 420MW of capacity committed to hyperscalers and a landbank capable of supporting more than 1GW of future capacity, Yondr is a key player in the data centre sector. The European headquartered company is well positioned to support the accelerating demand for advanced data processing capabilities driven by ongoing digital transformation. Yondr has committed to delivering energy-efficient data centres and has launched an ambitious programme to focus on carbon-related targets while expanding its infrastructure to meet growing demand.
