ARAG: Dr. Shiva Meyer takes over from Dr. Werenfried Wendler

The Supervisory Board of ARAG SE has appointed Dr. Shiva Meyer to the company's Board of Management effective April 2, 2023. She will take over the Human Resources / Group Internal Audit Board department from Dr. Werenfried Wendler, who will then retire.

Dr. Shiva Meyer has been a member of the Board of Management of ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG in Munich since July 2021. She has been working for ARAG SE since July 2020 and, in addition to her Board of Management mandate in Munich, has since been in charge of the Human Resources department of ARAG SE. Upon assuming her new role, Dr. Shiva Meyer will resign from her Board of Management mandate at ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG. The Supervisory Board of ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG will decide on her successor by then.

Dr. Werenfried Wendler will leave the ARAG Group in 2023 after 21 years of service. He took charge of the Human Resources department in 2002 and led it until his appointment to the Board of Management of ARAG SE in July 2020. At the same time, he held various Board of Management mandates at ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG, ARAG Lebensversicherungs-AG, ARAG Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG and Interlloyd Versicherungs-AG from 2008 to 2020. “The Supervisory Board and the owner would like to thank Dr. Wendler for his many years of very successful service to the ARAG Group. Through his work, the entire ARAG workforce has become a central factor in the success of the company,” emphasized Dr. Dr. h. c. Paul-Otto Faßbender, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ARAG SE.
