Danish eyes turn to Greek ports

Πέμπτη, 16 Ιουλίου 2015 14:43

Shortly after the Greek prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, put his country’s two biggest ports Piraeus and Thessaloniki up for sale in his proposal of budget-enhancing measures submitted to creditors, the Danish company Maersk signalled its interest in the facilities.

The Greek government said it has to have binding bids for the hubs by the end of October 2015.
Cosco has been interested in acquiring the port of Piraeus for a while as part of its "One belt, one road" project to revive to silk route between Asia and Europe.
