Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced the appointment of Sharon Kerr as UK & Ireland Financial Institutions Industry Practice Leader. Effective 1 June, Ms. Kerr will report to Charles Beresford-Davies, Head of Industries, UK & Ireland, and Ariel Berman, Head of Financial Institutions, UK Financial and Professional (FINPRO) Practice.
In this role, Ms. Kerr will bring together financial services sector client management, technical, placement and risk management specialists from across the business to support Marsh’s financial institutions clients. She will also act as a Senior Financial Institutions Client Executive within the UK FINPRO Practice.
Ms. Kerr will return from Singapore to London, where she has been Deputy FINPRO Leader for Marsh Asia since 2018. She joined the business in 2002 and previously held specialist financial institutions positions within the FINPRO Practice in the UK and Australia.
Commenting on Ms. Kerr’s appointment, Mr. Beresford-Davies said: “Financial institutions face a raft of evolving risks and business models, such as the shift to digital, the rapid-changing regulatory environment, and the impact of climate change and ESG. With her extensive international experience, Sharon will play a pivotal role in supporting our financial institutions clients mitigate the risks they now face.”
