Industrial lines insurer HDI Global has appointed Michael Rüsch as the new authorised representative and head of its branch for Switzerland.
Rüsch has worked in the industrial insurance sector for the past 20 years. Over recent years, he has held various underwriting and management positions at AXA XL. Most recently, he was country manager for Switzerland and he went on to become responsible for the European region as head of financial lines.
Rüsch will replace Jürgen Decker from 1 August 2019, who has been an interim appointment to the post over the past few months. At the same time, Decker will return to his responsibility for central management at all European locations of HDI Global SE, including the branch for Switzerland, as general manager / head division Europe of HDI Global SE.
Board member Edgar Puls, responsible for the European region at HDI Global, said: "On the back of his experience and international perspective, his enthusiasm for industrial insurance business and his dynamic approach, Michael Rüsch will ensure that HDI continues to expand its major presence and closeness to customers and sales partners in the Swiss market."
