Δευτέρα, 08 Απριλίου 2019 15:40

Kuwaiti Health Minister Bassel Hamoud Al-Sabah has ordered that a committee be formed to impose compulsory health insurance for foreigners visiting the country, the Kuwaiti health ministry said in a statement yesterday.
the new law stipulates that foreigners wishing to visit Kuwait are required to have health insurance for the duration of their stay.
Kuwait has been working to localise a number of government posts to support the country’s economy and reduce financial and economic burdens from depending on expatriates.
Since 2017, health services fees for expats have increased in Kuwait by 100- 150 per cent.
In June 2018 foreigners accounted for 69 per cent of Kuwait’s population of 4,588,148, according to statistics released by the Public Authority for Civil Information.
