Atlas Maritime receives LNG PCTC “ECO STAR”

Amid rising sustainability requirements in the shipping industry, the delivery of the new vehicle carrier H580 ECO STAR took place at the shipyards of CIMC Raffles in China, on behalf of Atlas Maritime Ltd., owned by Leon Patitsas.

The ECO STAR, a next-generation Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC), is powered primarily by LNG and has a capacity of 7,000 CEU (Car Equivalent Units), reflecting the company’s strategic shift toward greener solutions. With a focus on emissions reduction and energy efficiency, the vessel incorporates advanced technologies that enhance its operational performance.

The delivery marks a further step in the modernization of Atlas Maritime’s fleet, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, at a time when the shipping sector is required to adapt to evolving international standards.
