CrediaBank: Appointment of Athanasios Stathas as Acting Chief Financial Markets Officer

In his capacity as Acting Chief Treasury and Financial Markets Officer, Mr Stathas will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will join the Bank’s Execut ive Committee.
CrediaBank would like to express its sincere appreciation to Mr Marinos Danalatos, who has served as Chief Financial Markets Officer at Attica Bank since February 2023 and at Credia Bank since December 2023, for his contribution to the reinforcement of th e Bank’s positioning in the financial markets and the post -merger integration of the financial markets function. Mr Danalatos will continue being a member of CrediaBank’ s team as a Senior Management Advisor.

Mr Athanasios Stathas, Acting Chief Financial Markets Officer
Mr Athanasios Stathas has 29 years of extensive professional experience in the banking sector, with a strong focus on Treasury Management and Financial Markets. He joined Attica Bank in 2001 and, following its merger with Pancreta Bank and the establishmen t of CrediaBank, assumed the role of Deputy Chief Financial Markets Officer. Earlier in his career, he worked at Egnatia Bank in the Treasury function, gaining solid expertise in money and capital markets.
Throughout his career, Mr Stathas has held senior roles across Treasury, Trading and Asset –Liability Management (ALM), Treasury Sales, Funding and Capital Markets activities, contributing effectively to the design and implementation of funding strategies a nd financial risk management frameworks. His professional background evolves in periods of market volatility, systemic stress as well as stabilization, giving him comprehensive understanding of financial risks as well as liquidity and capital adequacy requ irements.
Mr Stathas holds a degree in Finance and Banking Administration from the University of Piraeus.
