Kelly Collins named to Ingram’s Women Executives – Kansas City

Kelly Collins, regional director of retail banking, has been named to Ingram’s 2022 Women Executives – Kansas City.

Ingram’s Women Executives – Kansas City highlights women who have demonstrated the qualities of positive executive leadership for their organizations and made significant contributions to the Kansas City region overall. Collins is among a dozen other women named to this year’s list.

As the regional retail banking director for Commerce Bank, Collins is responsible for more than 300 team members at 54 branches, across over 4 states. Additionally, she manages a deposit and loan portfolio worth more than $4.5 billion.

Throughout her 20+ year career at Commerce, Collins has “raised a lot of bankers.” She has mentored and developed dozens of managers, most of whom remain with Commerce today. For Collins, successful mentoring means having difficult conversations with each other. She believes providing others with direct feedback, even when challenging, is appreciated and helps people grow personally and professionally.

“Kelly has an innate sense and sensibility for business and empowering others,” said Adam Steven, executive vice president, director of regional retail banking and strategy. “She leads by example. Kelly’s words and actions are personally meaningful and authentic, especially when giving back to the community where she works and lives.”

As a current member of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program, Collins finds community work fulfilling and humbling. In the past, Kelly has been involved in the Brookside Community Improvement District, as well as the 39th Street Community Improvement District. She’s volunteered for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Brookside and Plaza Art Fairs, and different networking groups such as the Southtown Council and social committees.
