EIB - NBG: Agreement of €50 million to finance SMEs and Mid-Caps

The European Investment Bank (“EIB”), National Bank of Greece (“NBG”) and Ethniki Leasing signed a €50 million loan agreement (“the Transaction”), in order to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (“SMEs”) and medium-sized companies (“Mid-Caps”).

Ethniki Leasing is the leasing company of the NBG Group, and addresses companies operating in every economic field, in particular industry, renewable energy, trade, services and construction, offering solutions to the clients’ investment plans.

The Transaction is expected to create new prospects for SMEs and Mid-Caps and facilitate their access to funding, while offering favourable pricing terms.

The Transaction includes further pricing incentives for companies supporting youth employment under EIB’s initiative “Jobs for Youth”, by hiring young employees up to 25 years old.

The Transaction between EIB, NBG and Ethniki Leasing expands the variety of credit products offered by the NBG Group and strengthens the successful cooperation between NBG and EIB.
